Disability Awareness Sunday

Disability Awareness Sunday is on 17 September 2023 and we are encouraged to take part.

“It’s so important to use the gifts that God has given you as you, not the person that you think you need to be.”
(Ashleigh, Roofbreaker disability champion)

Over 20% of people in the UK are disabled people (Family Resources Survey 2022). Not all disabilities are visible, but disabled people are still underrepresented in UK churches – especially in positions of responsibility.

‘Through the Roof’ works with churches so everyone’s presence and gifts are valued.

Everyone has unique God-given gifts to share – that’s the theme of this year’s Disability Awareness Sunday on 17 September 2023 (or a day of your choice).

Why not hold a Disability Awareness Sunday service or include disability as part?
