Homelessness Sunday is on 8 October
This ecumenical day across the UK is organised by Housing Justice and takes place on 8 October 2023.
With the number of people experiencing homelessness rising sharply around the UK since the Covid pandemic, this year’s Homelessness Sunday is an important way to raise awareness of the plight of so many who have become marginalised in our society, and to reflect on what we as Churches and communities can do to help alleviate a very serious problem on our doorstep.
Housing Justice have created a range of resources for Churches wishing to run their own service which you can find here. These include pre-recorded homilies, prayers, hymn suggestions, Junior Church resources, information about homelessness, and how you can help.
